Sandman was started in 1998 by Richard Guzman. After several years of experimentation with many lawn treatment processes he discovered the secret to perfect lawns and unsurpassed turf surfaces.

Richard’s dedication to perfection led him to license the process for the Method and Apparatus of Distributing Soil Amendments and eventually filed a patent to protect his innovation. And, then, the Sandman concept was born. With a commitment to delivering the smoothest turf available, from home lawns to sports fields, and commercial lawns, Richard also wanted to operate a company devoted to sound agronomic, environmental and maintenance practices. Today, those principles and operating philosophies have developed into two distinct service offerings, each promising visibly better results.

Our Residential Services produce lawns that will be the envy of your neighborhood. Sandman results are visibly different because our process is unique. We believe that growing turf begins in the soil profile and ends with a dense, finely clipped leaf.

We grow the best turf possible and take into consideration the site conditions, soil type and turf cultivars. We then modify the soil profile with sand, soil amendments and fertilizer. The results are a profoundly healthier lawn that gets noticed.
